Pearson Adult Learning Centre: Weekly Feature

March
is Nutrition Month in Canada, so I would like to show you a couple of
websites which contain a lot of important and interesting information
about eating well and staying healthy. You will see a section called
Eating Well with Canada's Food Guide. You can actually build your own
food guide by selecting the foods you eat.
There is a very
helpful section which teaches you how to read nutrition labels so you
know what you are consuming. I really like the Interactive Nutrition
Quiz which tests how much you know about reading food labels. The
section on Canada's Physical Activity Guides shows you how you can
incorporate some physical activity in your daily life. All of this
information about Nutrition Month gives you what you need to eat well
and stay healthy.
National Nutrition Month
I
came across another website which is also filled with current health
related information. It is a very user-friendly site with a flashing
message about current health and food issues where you can check about
food safety, food recalls and home hazards.
When you visit
these sections, you will benefit by all the knowledge you get from
there. I hope you will find it as useful as I did.
