Varied writing is the writing that is most effective.
Readers look for an interesting and rewarding experience when they read.
Do you provide them with one?
Some ways you can achieve variety: use simple,
compound, and compound-complex sentences; use colons, dashes, and
semicolons where appropriate; use synonyms for key words to avoid
unnecessary repetitions; and, most importantly, read everything you
write out loud to check its sound and rhythm.
