Learning to
Use Microsoft Word
Many writers use Microsoft's Word
for writing. Although it is quite easy to use, there are many tips
and tricks to making it easier. To find them, and to sign up for a
free newsletter go to
WordTips.
One way I've learned to use Word
more effectively is to use what are called "shortcut" keys. See
the examples for
formatting paragraphs at WordTips. I use the centre shortcut
and the double spacing shortcut the most often.
One of the best effects of shortcut
keys is speed. Using the mouse is slow (and hard on my shoulder
and wrist). Before I learned the keys, I had frequent pain in my
wrist. Now, I almost never do, even after working on the computer
all day!
