Assigned a Paragraph? Write ONE!
I feel frustrated when students fail to read
instructions carefully before they begin to write. Not only that, but I
must lower a student's marks when a student does not follow
instructions.
One of the most common mistakes students make,
particularly in test situations, is to write more than one
paragraph when asked for ONE!
In this case, more is not better. Remember that teachers
use the Conventions,
Form, Style, and Meaning marking system. The "form" mark
must be lowered if a student mistakenly writes multiple paragraphs for a
one paragraph assignment.
So, one way to do better on the upcoming
Certificate
Tests: follow instructions and write ONE paragraph if that is all
your teachers require!
