Speed Up!
Using Keyboard Shortcuts
Students often marvel at my use of
keyboard shortcuts while working on my classroom computer. Using
shortcuts became a necessity when using a mouse began to cause my
right wrist to be sore and achy.
My work is speeded up immensely by
my use of shortcut keys. Those who are old computer hands (think
back to the days of DOS and WordPerfect 5.0!) will remember when
using the keyboard was the only way to accomplish things.
What's the best way to learn? My
answer takes you to a wonderful learning tool called
Microsoft Windows
and Applications Shortcut Keys. The site assumes you are a
novice and will give you information on not just the "what" but
also the "how" of using your keyboard.
Ready to speed up? Make it a point
to learn one new shortcut each day and see your computing work
completed in record time!
