
Roll Over that Rollover;
Log In that Login!
In
the same way that we find many people talking about going to the gym
everyday rather than the correct, every day, we can see people using
the word rollover as a verb rather than as a noun. The same goes for
login that is used to as a verb.
The correct
forms are as follows:
A
common technique on the web used to show us that we can perform an
action (or view a photo) is the rollover; to use one, roll over that
part of the text and, often, you can click through to what you need to
find or see the picture.
When a user logs in to his
or her email account, we can say that they have completed their login
and are now able to send and receive emails.
Be sure to get it right and you will seem a more educated
(and better) writer.
